Tidal Energy Advantages
In that the energy derived is based on the gravitational forces of the moon and the sun, it is very predictable. Power companies like this because it enables them to plan their power loading much easier than with the more intermittent sources of renewable energy such as wind and solar power.
Energy generated with the new in-stream tidal turbine technology is silent, and largely invisible.....And so far has proven to be extremely environmentally friendly.
Once a few hundred turbines have been installed world wide, the economies of scale are predicted to yield prices per kwhr comparable to the price of wind energy.
